Prep for Treatment.

There are a few things to know before we begin your treatment. First, it’s important to know that there are three phases of hair growth, the anagen, catagen, and telogen phases. Laser hair removal is most effective in the anagen phase, and only about 20-30 percent of hair is in this phase at a given time.

Once hair reaches the proper phase, it’s important that patients take the necessary steps to prepare for treatment. This includes staying out of the sun, cleaning the treatment area, and avoiding all waxing or plucking of the hair.

03.

Treatment.

During your treatment, you’ll be given protective eyewear and the treatment area will be cleaned and analyzed. Using a process called selective photothermolysis, we’ll destroy the hair follicles at their root by penetrating the melanin within it. The end result is a damaged follicle with permanently disabled growth.
